Nature Walk Bag

Have you ever been on a walk with a child and ended up with a pocket full of ‘treasures’… stones, bits of bark, gum nuts, fallen flowers, leaves and general debris?

So have we… which is one of the reasons why we created this resource!

Our Nature Walk Memory Bag is one of our most popular resources. By providing children with their own lightweight small string bag, we give our children responsibility for keeping their own treasures safe and encourage them to make ‘collections’ of natures gifts whilst they walk.

Each bag contains our Flora Fifty - a detailed and colourful Bushland Scene printed onto 100% cotton. After your walk, you can lay the Bushland Scene on a table or on the ground, and add your child’s treasures to the picture. It’s a great way to encourage recall of your bushwalking adventures, enables you to identify the treasures together (what is it called? How does it feel? What does it smell like?, etc) and create a story of your own.

Our Flora Fifty can also be reused after your bushland adventure, in many different ways.

Wear it as an item of clothing (bandana, neck scarf, cape or apron),
Enjoy it as a piece of art (on your bedroom wall),
Use it as a picnic accessory (picnic mat, food wrap, napkin), or
Play with it as a prompt for games (I-spy, animal match, etc).

The uses are as limitless as your own imagination!
